I bought this as a project to try some electronics with my 11 year old son, having previously dabbled with a Maplin solder kit but otherwise having zero experience of electronics.

The starter kit has a good selection of components and seems very competit

Good value and a lot of fun

This comes with everything you need to do some simple experimentation and even a few prototyping shields to create a more permanent set-up.

I'd have preferred a longer USB cable, mine was only 0.5 metres which isn't much use. Also I couldn't get the RGB
