This is not the intended use, but by pushing the plastic separator close to the angle, both legs becomes 7mm long - suitable for insertion into headers, so they can act as perfect extensions to female headers which bring the (now male) pins out to the sid

Great for using with crimp connectors

I've tried to botch some straight break away headers but they are too short.I used these right angle headers for connecting a stepper motor to a driver board which is in a stack. Using a crimp connector is a lot quicker then unscrewing a screw terminal.
